Birbfetch

Birbfetch is a system information utility. It can display the following information:

  • OS and architecture
  • OS version
  • CPU model
  • Used and total random access memory
  • Kernel version
  • System uptime

Invocation

The birbfetch utility may be invoked by running:

> birbfetch [alternative fetchart path]

Fetchart

By default, birbfetch will look for fetchart (the ASCII art shown above the results) under:

/etc/fetchart

birbfetch will show a "No fetchart found" message when this file does not exist.

MCL bundles an alternative monochrome version of the default fetchart too:

/etc/fetchart-alt
